How to print Shopify shipping labels on a 4×6 thermal printer

Shopify's shipping labels can be set up for either regular paper or 4×6 labels, and buying labels for several orders at once gives you one PDF with a label on each page.

Choose the label format

In Shopify's shipping settings, look for the label format or printer setting and choose 4×6 for a thermal label printer. Labels bought after that are already the right size, so you can skip the cropping.

Printing a batch

When you buy labels for several orders together, the download is one PDF with one label per page. Print it at 4×6 and 100% scale, and make sure the printer prints every page, not just the first.

Full-page labels

If a label came out on a full page, crop it to the label and print at 4×6. See why labels print too small if it comes out shrunk.
