How to print Etsy shipping labels on a 4×6 thermal printer

Etsy can give you a label as a full letter-size page, or sized for a 4×6 label printer. Which one you get depends on a setting, and on whether you buy the label on the website or in the Etsy Seller app.

Set your label format before you buy

In your shop's shipping label settings on the Etsy website, look for the download or label format preference and choose the option for a 4×6 label printer. Labels you buy after that download at the right size. It's worth checking again if you also buy labels in the app, since phone-bought labels have been known to come out as full pages or with extra white space.

Already have a full-page Etsy label?

1. Crop the PDF to just the label. Leave a little white margin and keep the whole barcode.
2. If it's sideways, rotate it upright.
3. Print on 4×6 paper at 100% scale, not "fit to page".
