How to print a PDF with many shipping labels on a 4×6 thermal printer

Printing guide

Buying labels for several orders at once usually gives you one PDF with a label on each page. On a 4×6 thermal printer, every page needs to come out as a full-size label, even if some pages are full sheets or have a label printed sideways.

If the pages are already 4×6

Print the whole PDF on 4×6 paper at 100% scale, and make sure "all pages" is selected in the print dialog.

If the pages are letter size

Each page needs cropping to its label. Doing that by hand page by page is slow, and a single page at the wrong scale prints a tiny label. Check the first page or two before sending the whole batch.

With Label Magic

Open the PDF. Label Magic detects the label on every page, including sideways ones. Step through the pages with the arrows to check or adjust any of them, then use Print All to print every label as one job. On a Mac, keep your downloads folder in the sidebar and print a whole folder of labels at once too.

Skip the manual steps. Label Magic finds the label, crops and rotates it, and prints an exact 4×6 at your printer's resolution. Your first 10 labels are free.
